In a momentous occasion, the Ososo Kingdom has welcomed a new monarch! On January 18th and 19th, 2024, Crowned Prince Bamidele Obaitan (Chief Emaweh 1 of Ososo Kingdom) fulfilled the traditional rites and requirements to ascend the throne of his forefathers. With the successful completion of these rites at the ancient Settlement of Osunor, Prince Bamidele Obaitan was crowned as His Royal Highness Okuodu III – Onyan’Ososo of Ososo.
This significant event marks a new chapter in the history of Ososo Kingdom, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! The coronation of His Royal Highness, Oba (King) Bamidele Obaitan, Okuodu III is a testament to the rich customs and traditions of the kingdom, and we wish our new monarch all the best as he assumes his new role.
